PreK Press
Oct. 30th - Nov. 11th
Halloween: What fun we all had on Halloween! The children looked absolutely adorable in their Halloween costumes. We were very proud of them and extremely impressed with how well they marched around the campus while “taking in the sights” at the same time. Thanks for your help with costumes and having the children ready to go! Special thanks to all who contributed food, drinks and goodies for our special Halloween snack. We appreciate your help and generosity.
Bridges: Our knowledge of bridges continues to build (pun intended) as the PreKers learn additional information about various types of bridges, their sizes, designs, strengths, locations and purposes. Their associated vocabulary is increasing significantly as we read books and further investigate all types of bridges. We have talked about suspension bridges (see our Golden Gate bridge that is almost finished), arch bridges (see their easel painting hanging in the classroom), and beam bridges (still in the works). There are lots more activities planned so be on the lookout.
Pajama Day: Tomorrow - Friday, November 13th has been designated as Pajama Day at TCS. Please make sure your children will be warm enough throughout the day. They need to be able to go to the bathroom independently and be ready to go outside just by putting their coat on. If they wear slippers, they need to be able to change into their shoes independently as well. Thanks for your help…
Can Van Collection: We are still actively collecting cans and other non-perishable foods for the TCS Can Van. We are hoping for 100% participation from the PreK class and would very much appreciate any and all contributions. Thank You.
Reading Buddies Mini-Thanksgiving Feast: Thank you to all who signed up to provide goodies for our special feast. Please make sure that anything you bring is READY TO SERVE - veggies, breads, fruit cut up, and on serving dishes, cheese sliced with crackers already on a platter, etc. Thanks for your help.
Thanksgiving Vacation: TCS will be closed Wednesday, November 25th through Sunday, November 29th for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Holiday Program: Even though it is several weeks away, please put Friday, December 18th on your calendar. This is the day of the TCS Holiday Program. All children participate and all parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Please watch for additional information.
